Bought a 360 to play Halo Reach which in my opinion is the sole reason to own one. . Might keep it to play some old Xbox titles like KOTOR which I somehow haven't done yet.
EA has its hand up DICE's asss so far that DICE is now EA's hand puppet. This game looks like BC2 mashed into a MW2 game.

The PS3 can put up more stuff happening on your screen at once than the 360 can. Pixel for pixel graphics are pretty much the same. So when game devs talk about the ps3 being the lead platform, it just means they are making sure the programming is solid on the PS3, which up to now has been a nightmare to program for. Witness Valve's EPIC fail with Orange box. A 360 is a mid-range PC, and familiar territory for programmers to develop for.

MW2 has had its run. Fast and short. Good game but got annoying fast. Plus too many mouthy 10 year olds with parent no where to be seen.
You guys need to play 4 Squad Death Match in hardcore mode. Get the adrenaline spike you're really after.
This game looks good on either console. If you guys that are posting hairline differences in "implementation of water" and microscopic refinement in "shadow rendering" and "visually pleasing transparencies", in a perpetual battle over which console is better, you guys need to check your head for micro tearing and frame rate drop-out. especially if you have a.d.d. like me: it takes too long to download spaces. I got into home after about 6 month break, and nothing has changed... oh, ok, one thing has, for the worse: I waited 15 minutes for the Plaza to download, only to be disappointed by the fact that "Chain Swingin" song is no longer on the playlist..
But in the meantime, I think BF3 will breathe new life into PC gaming. I mean, as far as PC gaming goes, I'm stuck back in 2006 with BF2 and various Valve games. Consoles have taken over due to price and the economy, but finally there may be a game that is worth buying/upgrading your rig to play. BF3 may be that game!
That said, the same BF2 formula will apply. They'll make a 64 player PC game with all the latest and greatest tech, then eventually port the said game through a fun...
The beta and demo were only highlighting the RUSH game mode, or same as Gold Rush from BadCo 1... battlefield games are traditionally known for their Conquest mode, which will also be in BC2, plus, if you read internets, 3 squad deathmatch, and whatever else might surprise..
The Beta was so solid, I consider it a 1st demo, the current one, the second.

Love the demo. It's so good. Played the beta to death, have to say that DICE totally tweaked the game to perfection.
One thing tho: I hope they fix the Options menu for land vehicles. I like driving tanks with the left thumbstick for throttle/reverse/steer as it was in BadCo 1 and 1943. Also, a way to save those settings would be nice.

the beta was as good as done! Props to DICE for the super-balancing act. This game will steal my time for sure! Just like most other Battlefield games of the past. Hopefully they'll add a few more game modes, and make it more friends list friendly.. like IW did in MW2 on the PS3 online friends implementation from menu into the XMB. That was slick.
Now, if only the EA reps would shut the fukc up and stop despertely trying to pump this game up for no reason.. they're doing the DICE b...

After all motion controls are supposed to replace analog. BUT, for a FPS game I'd like to be able to move my feet with an analog stick, like on the Wii..
I think this will be a direct copy of the Wii, but with way better and accurate sensitivity and 3d motion, like in the on stage demo a few months back..
